Colours

Our wooden roller shutters allow many possibilities. If in ten years' time you wish to change the colour then they can simply be relacquered.

Shutter surface treatment can be used to achieve any kind of optical improvement or beautification of the facade and windows. Pigmented varnish allows the wood‘s beauty to remain visible. Opaque varnishing (RAL or NCS) allows any shade to be used. Prior bath impregnation is essential however. This provides the basis for a good finish.

Lacquered surfaces

Lacquered surfaces

With their brilliant colour palettes, lacquered surfaces deliberately accentuate a house‘s features. A good bath impregnation against fungus, insects or rot is the foundation for subsequent lacquering and is absolutely indispensable. High-quality lacquer colours guarantee exceptional longevity and long-term protection from the weather; they also require little maintenance. A follow-up treatment is necessary after about 5 to 15 years, depending on the facade orientation, and extends the wooden roller shutters‘ life.

Varnished surfaces

Varnished surfaces

Varnished surfaces maintain and emphasise the natural, expressive structure of the finely grained wood. At the same time, transparent paint or varnish provides the necessary protection against many climatic influences such as UV rays, water, humidity. Bath impregnation is necessary for this treatment, too.

Oiled surfaces

Oiled surfaces

Oiled surfaces (impregnation technique) retain most of the natural characteristics of the wood.

This is achieved by allowing a treatment containing natural oil to soak into the wood without pooling. This method is used exclusively with larch wood. The surface remains open, but is water resistant and easy to clean and treat.
